Shipwreck!

Written by Christina Karzat and Archana Sohmshetty

"We will accomplish it!" Sandra said to her closest friend Melissa.
"But when?" Melissa asked. "I don't know! Just whenever we get a
chance! We have to accomplish it! We have to get to freedom! It is our
dream, and we should follow it," said Sandra.

Melissa liked what her friend just said and ran to get the video camera and started recording.

"What is your dream? What do you want to accomplic?" said Melissa.

"It's accomplish not accomplic for Petes Sake! And what I want to accomplish is to get freedom!" said Sandra.

"Is that what you want to accomplic?" said Melissa.

"It is accomplish not accomplic!" said Sandra under her stressed out moaning self.

The next day, Sandra slowly took 100$ from her fathers bank. When she went to school she showed the money to Melissa. "Wow! You took that money! What are you going to do with it?" Melissa said in a hurry. "RING! RING!" the school bells chimed as it always did in the morning when it was time for school.

"I will tell you my plan after school! I will meet you at the side of the road down near the rose garden, the roses grew so much, no one will see us if we duck!" Sandra said as she took off.

"Rattle rattle, rattle rattle!" the bushes moved and made sound while Sandra was looking for Melissa.

"I'm over here!" said Melissa in a whisper.

"Okay! Go to the end! We can at least kneel and not crawl!" Sandra said.

Melissa and Sandra hurried to the end of the rose bushesand knelt.

"Okay, Melissa, do not scream of my idea, just tell me if you like it," said Sandra and told Melissa her plan.

A big fat tear formed in her eyes. It rolled down her puffy cheek and plopped on the ground.

"But I will miss mommy and daddy!" Said Melissa trying not to cry.

"Melissa, this is a choice we have to make, and we can't go with our parents. We have to take the will and escape as we can." Sandra said confidently.
"A…a… a… are you sure?" Melissa said.

"Yes! We will go to the ship tomorrow. I have it all booked. I will meet you after school
in this same spot okay?" Sandra said reaching her arm out and giving a
pat on the back.

"I am ready Sandra, let's do it!" Melissa had finally stopped silently crying and now had a smile where a frown should have been!
